We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a healthy ministry environment and ask that you do not bring your child to nursery if they have experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours:
Persistent coughing
Persistent sneezing
Discolored nasal discharge
Vomiting
Inflamed throat
Diarrhea (2+ loose bowel movements)
Fever (over 100.5°)
Unusual fatigue and irritability
Rash (except diaper rash)
If a child shows signs of any of these symptoms while in our care, we will isolate them from the others and you will be contacted.
(Exceptions will be made in the case of children with allergies who might exhibit some of the above-mentioned symptoms)
Your child must be on an antibiotic for at least 24 hours before entering the nursery with any illness.
The nursery is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis to reduce the spread of germs and illness (dirty toy bins, disinfectant spray, etc).
Discipline Policy :
For the safety of all children, we use the following discipline procedures to address behaviors such grabbing, kicking, hitting, biting, not following directions, etc.
Stop the child’s behavior
Kneel down and address the issue.
Tell the child the appropriate way to handle the situation.
Offer the child another activity.
If the child persists in the behavior, we will have them sit with one of the volunteers until the behavior has finished or the child has moved on to another activity.
If the behavior persists, we will tell their parent/guardian at pick-up about the consistent behavior and discuss how to handle it in the future.
